In this video, we're going to look at how to pronounce contractions.

One or two of my viewers asked me to do this and I've been planning on doing it for quite a while, so here it is.

I'm actually going to break this into two videos because I think it's a bit long for one video.

I'm also going to focus on contractions that have apostrophes.

An apostrophe is that thing.

It's like a comma that's higher up.

So I'm talking about contractions like "I'm" and "don't".

I'm not going to look at contractions like coulda, shoulda, wanna gonna, because I think that's a topic that deserves a separate video.

What I've done is I've chosen 80 contractions with apostrophes, that I believe are the most common in modern-day English.

These aren't all the contractions that exist in the English language, but these are most of them.

I also want to add that this is a pronunciation video.

I'm not going to talk about the meanings of these words.

I think that most people who watch my videos have at least an intermediate level, and if you have an intermediate level, then you should know what these words mean.
